Terms of Service

The parties
HoldTheFort ("HoldTheFort", "we", "us") is a service operated by Sebastianus Weiler, a sole trader trading as HoldTheFort — . "You" means the person or organisation using the service.
Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using HoldTheFort, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you are using HoldTheFort on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your account
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials safe. You must be authorised to share any workplace information you put into HoldTheFort, and you are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
Acceptable use
You must not use HoldTheFort to: (a) store or transmit unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; (b) harass, defraud, or impersonate others; (c) attempt to probe, scan, disrupt, or compromise the security or integrity of the service; (d) reverse-engineer or scrape the service; (e) upload material you do not have the right to share; or (f) circumvent usage limits.
Intellectual property
The HoldTheFort service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property rights, is and remains the exclusive property of Sebastianus Weiler. Subject to these terms and your payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the service for your internal handover purposes. You retain ownership of the content you submit ("Your Content"); you grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the service to you and your collaborators, including generating AI recaps from it.
AI-generated content
Recaps are generated by an AI model from the updates you and your collaborators submit. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete and is not a substitute for professional judgement. Review recaps before acting on anything material. You are responsible for how you use the output.
Fees
HoldTheFort is currently offered free of charge. If paid plans are introduced in future, pricing and payment terms will be shown before you subscribe and these terms will be updated with the applicable payment, billing, cancellation, and refund mechanics.
Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently removes the data you own (see the Privacy Policy for retention details). We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. On termination, your right to use the service ends immediately.
Warranties and liability
HoldTheFort is provided "as is" and "as available"; we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose, and to the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence).
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Sebastianus Weiler is established, and the competent courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
